Alte Remise in Weimar

We celebrated our wedding in October in the barn of the Alte Remise and can only warmly recommend this location! The barn is very well maintained and has an extremely nice atmosphere. Even the discussions were in a deeply relaxed and customer-friendly atmosphere. It was always tried to please us as much as possible and wishes were met as best as possible. In the end they even folded the cloth napkins differently according to a short-term special request. The service itself was also very courteous, quick and polite. We felt completely at ease and the guests were always completely looked after. I would particularly like to highlight the food in this context, as there are some reviews that criticize it. We had a mix of wedding soup, starter buffet, main course menu and dessert buffet - so organizationally more demanding. There were no organizational delays and everyone received their food quickly, without complications and warm. The food itself was culinary and tasted accordingly. I'm not saying that because it was my wedding, but objectively as a critical person. What was served that day was perfect. To this day, no guest has told our groomsmen anything else or whispered about it. It was praised without exception. There was also nothing to complain about in terms of price. For what was on offer in terms of ambience, service and cuisine, the price was absolutely fair and customer-friendly. So, once again, our heartfelt thanks to the entire Alte Remise team. You looked after our festive day properly! And I can warmly recommend the Alte Remise to all prospective wedding couples looking for a charming celebration location! We would celebrate here again without thinking.

We were walking in the Tiefurter Park on a wonderful Wednesday afternoon and met the Alte Remise restaurant. For dinner we were warmly welcomed with a great service. For dinner we had ox cheeks and masaman curry and both dishes were a poem. When we wanted to leave the restaurant, we were informed by a young waiter that the last dumpling buffet will take place on Sunday (all you can eat). We were also there on Sunday and were very surprised at the extensive range of dishes and the very nice service at the buffet. The little highlight for us, as my husband loves hearty food, was the freshly sliced ​​pork leg with a sensational crust. We hope that the Corona will soon be over and that we can visit the location again as soon as possible. Ps: In my opinion, the Remise is a culinary insider tip. Yesterday we went to the toilet buffet for the last time ... great service ... delicious food !!!! I can only recommend you !!! Unfortunately, we live outside of Weimar ... otherwise we would have continued to support you by getting your delicious food for home ... get through the time well !!!

Very nice ambience, very good Thuringian cuisine!

Hello everybody! I can't say that you can't stop here spontaneously! Today happened to be in Tiefurt and fortunately came here. After she was a bit disappointed with the actual castle but was rewarded by the beautiful park, we stopped here spontaneously and saw a very attentive and courteous staff. Our starter may be a poem! I could have put myself in my curry coconut soup. The main course was ox cheeks, even with dumplings, according to individual wishes. Unfortunately, the leather was slightly over the point and therefore dry. We gave full marks in terms of taste and service, thank you very much for this wonderful evening!

Operation too slow, therefore very! long waiting times. Food was brought in and taken away from us due to a mix-up. Then served to other guests. Incredible! Unhygienic. After the food came to us: cold roulades, hard and tough. By far the worst roulade I've ever eaten. And that for an impressive 18 €. So price-performance ratio is not good at all. After that, what felt like an eternity was not cleared away. Not asked again for drinks. We sat in front of empty plates and glasses for over 40 minutes. The waitresses kept running back and forth without taking anything. Also rude. Addition to Corona times: employees do not wear a mask properly over their mouth and nose. So you don't feel safe. Overall, really a very bad experience.

Great location, nice rooms clean and tidy. The food is average good without spoiling the palate. The service unfortunately quite slow and uncoordinated. Coffee and cocoa at the limit of taste.

A beautifully designed restaurant, we came there on a trip by bus. The coffee table was set. The service was fast and friendly. The cake was very good in taste., I can only recommend it ?☕???

The remise has slackened significantly. For a quarter of an hour we were ignored and not served at all. The table wasn't clean when we were allowed to sit down. The food was served without a saucer or napkin. No need to come back anytime soon.

Very friendly staff and excellent cuisine. Here is probably the best schnitzel in Weimar! The evening was excellent and the restaurant is absolutely recommendable and one cannot complain about the prices either.

May 2019 Nice restaurant. Inneinrichtung successful mix between rustic and modern. Beer garden under under old trees. Good food, friendly, attentive staff. Highly recommended.
